Women Empowerment

Ajose Foundation is at the forefront of women empowerment in Ogun State. She has consistently pushed for strategic partnerships for the advancement of different groups of women in Ogun State. Below are some of Mrs. Abiodun’s ongoing activities and partnerships for women programs.

 

·       ICPD: Active participation with World Leaders, International NGOs, Civil Society and other Organizations in Nairobi, Kenya to form policies and laws to safeguard women and girls against violence.

·    Collaborating with the Ministries of Justice, Women Affairs, Health and Education to set up a Domestic Sexual and Violence Response team in Ogun State.

·   Launch of the cervical and breast cancer awareness program in Imeko Afon LGA as well as Sagamu and Itori LGAs. Free screenings were conducted on over 1000 women and follow up investigations on a few patients to ensure subsequent continuation of the project not just in these locations but also across the state.

·       Conference organized for widows in Ogun state tagged “Renewed Hope for Widows” in commemoration of the International Widow’s Day 2019 aimed at creating better avenues to manage their mental health, social and economic welfare.
